Education

We have thankfully created many wonderful relationships with our local veterinarians, and veterinary technicians and assistants. Animal welfare education is SO important and we believe it is an essential part of the animal adoption process. Through vigorous research and discussions with local veterinarians, we use our social media outlets to educate our followers. Humane education is key to becoming better pet parents. We have also built a stable relationship with the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA). With these crucial relationships in place, we plan to deliver regular education sessions and resources to all of Northwestern Ontario covering a variety of animal-related topics, including spaying and neutering, animal health and first aid, animal behaviour, etc.

Retail

Currently in Thunder Bay, there are thousands of animal lovers (and we LOVE all of you!) Speaking from experience though, we feel like there is an abundance of items for sale out there for canine lovers, but us crazy cat ladies ‘n gents get left out a bit…so we have decided to fur things up a bit! We launched our online store during the pandemic and we have been able to donate a portion of the proceeds to Kitty Kare. A variety of merchandise will be available in store in the future but until then, please take a look at our online store.

Events

Health and Wellness Sessions, Paint Nights, Networking Events, Fundraisers, Birthdays, Bachelorette Parties, Anniversaries, Company Shenanigans, Baby Showers, Date Nights, etc. You name it, we’ve thought of it! Life with cats is ALWAYS better.

Health and Wellness

Another important aspect of our daily lives is general health and wellness. We are currently in the process of finding a paw-some yoga instructor to bring Thunder Bay regular feline yoga and other health classes. If you’re interested, be sure to send your resume to info@pawsandpurr.ca and tell us why you think you would be the purrfect fit for Paws and Purr.
